PE-Xb Heat-Resistant Crosslinked Polyethylene Heating Pipes
FISTPE PE-X pipe is a heat-resistant crosslinked polyethylene pipe. Polyethylene is crosslinked chemically or physically to enhance the performance of polyethylene, the covalent bond between polyethylene molecules forms a more stable 3D network structure, and this improves the chemical and physical performance of polyethylene resin quickly, like heat resistance, abrasive resistance, chemical resistance, stress crack resistance, ageing resistance. This greatly enhances its resistance to elevated temperatures, and thus ensures its long-term use under 95℃. PE-X pipe mainly includes PE-Xa (peroxide crosslinked polyethylene), PE-Xb (organosilane crosslinked polyethylene) and PE-Xc (radiant crosslinked polyethylene), of which peroxide and radiation crosslinking have higher degree of crosslinking. PE-X pipe is extensively used in the heating system of high-temperature radiator in China due to its good resistance to elevated temperatures, resistance to pressure, thermal conductivity and impact resistance.
No plasticizer, no mildew or bacterium;
Good resistance to heat, with a normal operating temperature up to 95℃, strong enough to withstand 110℃ for 8,000 hours;
for 8,000 hours; Good resistance to pressure, with two operating pressures under normal temperature: 12.5bar and 20bar;
Good resistance to corrosion, strong enough to resist the corrosion by most chemicals;
Good heat insulation effect for energy conservation;
Able to be bent at will with no crack or fracture;
Allow more water to flow through than the metal pipe under the same condition;
High resistance to creep, able to be connected with a metal pipe, needing no connector, thus reducing the installation cost and making maintenance easier;
The key characteristics of the crosslinked polyethylene pipe lie in its strength and temperature resistance, especially the creep strength, which varies insignificantly over time, with a service life as long as 50 years.
