How to deal with the underfloor heating?

Floor heating has become one of the important ways of heating modern homes. I have finally installed a full set of floor heating for my home. I want to enjoy a comfortable floor heating life in the cold winter, but there is a problem of whether the floor heating is not hot during use. There are many reasons why the floor heating is not hot. Here are a few common problems and solutions.

●First use or long-term unused

When floor heating is used for the first time or when it has not been used for a long time, the water temperature is low, the heating temperature is slow, and the outside temperature is low.

Solution:

This is not a quality problem of the floor heating itself, as long as you wait patiently for the temperature to rise during the 

initial heating.

●Insufficient pipeline pressure

Some users have too high floors or are located at the end of the district heating, and the pipeline pressure is not enough, resulting 

in unsatisfactory heating effect.

Solution:

Find the property or heating company to solve it. If you can’t solve it, you can install a circulating pump to increase the circu-

lation of the hot water to achieve the desired effect.

●There is air in the pipe

If the floor heating main pipe is hot but the return pipe is not, it means that there is air in the pipe, which prevents hot water 

from entering the loop to circulate.

Solution:

1. Install the automatic exhaust valve.

2. Open the manual exhaust valve to exhaust until hot water is released.

●Filter clogged

As the name suggests, the floor heating filter is to filter impurities in the pipeline water. Over time, the filter will be blocked 

when the impurities increase. Only part of the water enters the filter. The inlet pipe is hot and the outlet pipe is not hot, resul-

ting in the floor heating

Solution:

This is to take out the filter, take out the solid impurities in the filter, thoroughly clean it with water, and then check whether 

there is any clogged place in the filter port, make sure to rinse it well, and then install the filter back.

●Long-term unwashed

Floor heating pipes will slowly scale during long-term use. According to statistics, every time the inner wall of the geothermal pipe 

increases by 1 mm, the indoor temperature will drop by 6°C. Irregular cleaning will affect the water flow, or even cause geothermal 

heating. The pipe is blocked, which affects the heating effect.

Solution:

Ask a professional to clean it. Generally, the floor heating pipes are cleaned once every 3-5 years, and other equipment must be 

cleaned before use every year.
